At first, it was unusual to open the phone with one hand. The device was large, but I got used to it in literally 10-15 uses.
High performance and smart features
The smartphone’s specifications are very good—it is a typical flagship of 2024. The eight-core processor has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of regular memory for storing files. It runs on Android 14 with the HiOS shell. In short, the power is more than enough for business tasks. You can also play games and watch movies.
The 5750 mAh battery is impressive. It can last several days of active use without going to the outlet. The kit includes a 70 W fast charger: on average, the smartphone can be charged from 0 to 50% in 20 minutes and from 0 to 100% in 50 minutes. There is support for wireless charging up to 15 W and reverse wireless charging: you can charge headphones, smartwatches, and even another phone from the smartphone without wires.

This is enough for shooting atmospheric landscapes, mesmerizing portraits, dynamic clips, streams, and blog videos.
The V Fold2 has two 32 MP selfie cameras, one for each screen. They are very bright and produce a clear picture even in difficult lighting conditions. We tried video calls both in the office and in the evening in the park without sunlight—everything is visible well, so we have no complaints about the cameras.
But the photos and videos are great not only because of the good technical stuffing — the software algorithms are also at work. For example, the AI algorithms recognize the distance to the object and automatically switch the camera to an ultra-wide angle — to create detailed macro shots. The flicker sensor recognizes scenes in motion and helps to adjust the light sensitivity and shutter speed. The algorithms increase the clarity and brightness for night shots — the pictures are mesmerizing.
The folding screen also helps with filming. For example, you can close it halfway, put the device on the table, and film a video – it turns out much better than if you try not to move your hands.
Comfortable to use
The angle of fixation of the smartphone in the open position is from 30 to 120 degrees. For example, you can slightly open the screen, as if it were a laptop, and use the phone for video calls or watching movies. Another option is to put it on the outer corners like a tent – this is also convenient. Or turn on long exposure shooting or timelapse – if you set everything up correctly, you will get impressive photos and videos previously only available on professional equipment.
In tablet mode, it is convenient to enable split screens and so-called floating windows, which enable several applications simultaneously and allow you to drag files from one to another. You can switch between programs and modes using the global taskbar—you literally need one click.
You can also buy a multifunctional lightweight stylus for your phone. You can use it to make notes on screenshots, take notes and recognize them as text, count something, or draw. You can even control your smartphone remotely with a couple of buttons—for example, turn pages, change tracks, or take photos. The stylus weighs only 10 g, and two hours of continuous use are available without recharging.
