The American Time magazine named the 200 best innovations of 2024. The list of inventions, published on the publication’s website, includes new consumer electronics, robotics, mobile gadgets, health products, medical developments, and much more. 1. The substrate for greening roofs, developed by scientists of the Agricultural Academy, is named after K.A. Timiryazev. The substrate contains tripoli from the Khotynetskoye deposit in the Oryol region. Tripoli is a mineral of volcanic origin, rich in zeolites, which help plants better absorb nutrients and moisture. It is cheaper than imported analogs and provides plants with the necessary macro- and microelements.

2. The “smart” orthosis MioOrto was invented at Samara State Medical University. This rehabilitation device monitors the patient’s muscles and joints, transmitting data to a smartphone or computer. It allows doctors to assess the patient’s condition in real-time during rehabilitation and adjust the recovery program after knee and hip injuries.
